Very nice article. Definitely super agree on the targeted networking.

I ran into the same issue, realized one day that most of LinkedIn contacts are sales people or people I barely know, they are not my network. So I started cleaning it up. Networking is not purely a numbers game. Its only going to become more intersting the COVID disrupted world.

Another thing is, based on my observations and experiences I think people under value networking inside their organizations. Best customer is one you already have. Best employer is the one who has already given you a job.
